For those of us fortunate enough to be at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, we owe our thanks to everyone on the front lines. There are many ways to show all essential workers our appreciation. Let’s celebrate the heroic actions of friends and strangers on April 19 at 7:00 pm.

The goal of 19 Thanks is to align the ways we demonstrate our appreciation by highlighting everyone’s goodwill on the 19th of each month.  A little positivity goes a long way.

On April 19 at 7:00 pm, all Louisiana citizens will come together and show our appreciation.

Visit facebook.com/19thanks to post a message of appreciation.

Visit www.19thanks.org and write a note of appreciation online.

Another way to show your appreciation is by donating meals to the hungry or by making a contribution to support other programs serving people in need.

Please note, the donation links on the 19thanks.org website connect to the state United Way organization and Feeding Louisiana, an organization created by the five food banks serving the state. To make a donation directly to the local agencies, please visit United Way of Central Louisiana https://www.uwcl.org or the Food Bank of Central Louisiana https://www.fbcenla.org

Let’s stand in solidarity with our friends in Baton Rouge who are showing support for healthcare workers by displaying blue hearts in windows. Please see details by clicking on the Hearts From Home BR tab on the www.19thanks.org web page.

Louisiana is a resilient state. We all need to stay united in the fight against COVID-19. Let's take a moment to demonstrate our appreciation to those keeping our state going.
